Perika Gjezi (1949 -2010) Actor of the theater "Andon Zako Cajupi", Korce and at the same time of Albanian Cinematography. He was born in Korce on January 8, 1949. At a young age he became active in the amateur theater troupe of the high school "Fuat Babani" under the direction of the well-known director and actor Pirro Mani. It will be the year 1965 when he will perform his first role in the drama "Three Gun Shots" by Ibrahim Uruc, which was staged by the troupe of the "AZ Cajupi" Theater in Korce. In 1967, after finishing high school, he was sent to work in the Maliqi Combine, which will be active with the amateur troupe of this combine. In May In 1969, at the insistence of the director Mihallaq Luarasi, he started working as a professional actor in the "AZ Cajupi" Theater where he would perform several roles. In November of this year, he will even be interpreted in the much talked about drama "Njollat e Murme" by this same director, a performance which will also receive the Flag in the Festival of Theaters held in Tirana. In 1969, in December, he left for his mandatory military service, and after finishing it, he started his studies at the High Institute of Arts in Tirana (now the Academy of Arts) in the field of acting. In 1972, after completing her studies in the dramatic department, she returned to work at the "AZ Cajupi" Theater in Korce, becoming one of the main actresses of this artistic institution, playing mainly roles with a positive connotation. Among the impressive characters for the spectators of the city of Korcar was that of Sami in the play "Teacher of literature" by R. Pulahes, showing a good energy and playing temperament. He would break this form with the figure of Kristof in Artur Miller's drama "They were all my sons", where now his play is outlined as an internal suffering, to identify his father's guilt, consequently his passivity, with the goal of honesty in family relations. In Petro Marko's drama entitled "The Last City", the protagonist plays the role of the captain, weighing both psychological, lyrical and poetic views under a dramatic backdrop. The shows where he has performed professionally are numerous, we can mention some of them: "House in the Alley"; "Maro Mokra"; "The accused city"; "Othello"; "Avarice"; "Ladies from the city"; "Friend from the village"; "Time without a name" etc. Meanwhile, in cinematography, he is a performer in 15 films. He started with an episodic role in "I teti ne bronx" (1970) in the role of Demke, the miller's son. Then he will be the commissar in "War Path" (1974); George in "Bloody Land"; also Gjergji in "Nga mesi i eresire"; teacher Naimi in "Balloons"; the role of Elmaz in "Nothing is forgotten"; Tahiri in "Strange Wedding".
