Emin Jero, known as Minush, was a dramatist, poet, lecturer and soldier. He was born in Selenice, Vlora, on June 27, 1932. He completed his higher studies at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Philology, for Language and Literature. For a long time he has been an officer in the armed forces. After military education at the United School, he became an officer in Durrës. He left the army in 1960 and entered the University of Tirana, where he became a professor of literature and dramaturgy. He wrote in several genres of literature, but he became especially known as a dramatist, with the plays: "Brown Stains", "Wedding in the War", "The Invincibles", "The Bridge", "The Story of a Night", etc. Among his first plays is the one written in 1942 "Wedding in the war" which stands out for its fierce conflict, set during the Second World War. In 1971, he wrote the heroic drama "The Invincibles", which also takes its subject from World War II. The drama "Brown spots" was written in 1969, a drama with which the theater "AZ Cajupi" of Korce also won the flag of the professional festival. The fate of this drama had a strange history: it was praised a lot on the first night by the prime minister of the time, Mehmet Shehu, and on the second night, it was condemned by the leader Enver Hoxha, calling it a "black spot" in Albanian dramaturgy. The author himself had consequences in his life and creativity, while the director Mihallaq Luarasi was sentenced to prison. The drama was blocked and in 1973 Minush Jero was sentenced to 8 years in prison. After serving 6 years and 8 months in prison, he was released on December 28, 1978. Then he worked as a simple worker in a rubber factory in Durrës from 1979 to 1987. After the democratic movement began in the 1990s, he founded the branch of the Democratic Party in Durrës and then opens the "Torra" art salon. Minush Jero passed away on March 22, 2006. ___________ Albanian cinematography in activity since 2013
