Manushaqe Qenami (Topalli) | “Meteor” of the Albanian stage
“Meteor of the stage” has become one of the topics of the page, with the aim of bringing out from the “dust” of oblivion some of our actresses and actors who, regardless of their interpretive ability, they had a short career just like the lighting and the path of a meteor!
This category also includes the actress Manushaqe Qenami, to whom we have dedicated a photo album.
Born in Tirana on August 15, 1952, in a family originally from Turani Tepelena. She began her studies at the Artistic Lyceum and the Academy of Arts in Tirana (1973). As a student, she was hired as a singer in the choir of the Opera and Ballet Theater, and from 1973 onwards she has worked continuously.
For 39 years she has been quite prominent with her complete soprano vocals. In 1978 she played the role of Tefta Tashko Koço (Donika Prokopi) in the film “”Concert in 1936”, entering the roles with the most prominent realization in Albanian Cinematography. Her vocals and beauty make her still maintain her stage dignity fresh.
Mainly actress of secondary roles who was active in several Kinostudio films beside “Concert in the year `36” – 1978; “Carnivals” – 1980; “Old Cartridge” – 1980; “City Lights” – 1983; “Dream of a chair” – 1984; “Come” – 1987. As mentioned above, the only role that distinguishes the actress is that of Donika in the movie “Concert in v. 36”- 1978, the role of her life which she interpreted with a lot of professionalism and which gave the actress an impetus to be active in other films as well.
