Birce Hasko “Merited Artist”.
Actor, professor, prominent theater and cinematographer, lecturer at the Academy of Arts.
Born in Dukat, Vlora on March 15, 1942. Worked as a teacher in Memaliaj, where he got his artistic beginnings, engaging with the city’s variety show. In 1965, began his studies as an actor.
After graduation, he became a lecturer at this institute, which he continued for a long time in teaching the subject of Actor’s Mastery. For his academic work, he was given the title “Professor”.
Hasko performed more than 12 roles in the theater. His most accomplished role is that of Milo in the comedy “Rain in the Beach” written by Teodor Laço.
Hasko also made a valuable contribution to Albanian cinematography, where he performed dozens of roles. His roles are mostly secondary and characters, but through his dignified interpretation Hasko has created unforgettable artistic figures that represent a special psychology, distinguishing that of the old man, or the man who clearly expresses his thoughts. For these features of the interpretation, he has attracted the interest of many directors, becoming a very popular actor.
His first role in the cinematography is in 1971 in the role of a ballist in the movie “When a day dawned”. His roles in many films would continue, such as that of Mete Jaho in the film “Radio station” in 1979, the role of Syrja in the film “Sketerre 43” in 1980, the role of the professor in the film “Stones of my house” in in 1985 as well as many roles in other films to arrive at his most recent role in the film “Provincial Chronicle” in 2009. In 1991, Hasko received the title of Professor. In 1976, the “Naim Frashëri” order, second class, in 1988 “Honored Artist”.
April 18, 1987, the Medallion of the Festival for the interpretation of the role of Uncle in the film “And one day comes” at the VII Albanian Film Festival held in Tirana from April 13 to 18, 1987.
April 22, 1989, Award for the interpretation of the role of Dane’s Father in the film “Temporary Shine” at the VIII Albanian Film Festival held in Tirana from April 18 to 22, 1989.
In 2002 he received the title “Grand Master” and this year he was declared “Honorary Citizen” of Orikum.
Birce Hasko is a popular actor in Albania, he has played in more than 30 films. Graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts, dramaturgy branch, and is currently a pedagogue in this institution.
