Drini Hila (1950-2022)
Actor of the theater “Zihni Sako” – Gjirokaster and of the Albanian Cinema.
Hila was born on November 30, 1950, in Gjirokaster. He completed his studies at ILA – the Higher Institute of Arts in the drama department. On August 15, 1976, he was appointed to the stage of the city and then he was an actor in the professional troupe of the “Zihni Sako” Theater in Gjirokastra. 
On the stage of this theater, Drini Hila masterfully interpreted many roles in works of different genres, standing out with his talent and professional ability. Among them we can mention: “There in the Ebro” – Diego / “It was a time of war” – Nevzati / “I’m looking for my house” – Gramozi / “Anne’s concerns” – Bashkimi / “A crooked tree” – Petro / “The men of freedom”- Mihal Grameno / “The end of the lords”- Grandfather / “The end of the world”- Alicibiadis / “Freedom or Death” – Recital / ‘Operation”- Chief editor / “Face yourself” – Hakiu / “For a little land and a woman” – Marku / “This should not be forgotten” – Astriti / “Erashka” – Moraku / “On the way up” – Saliu / “House with two gates” – Luftetari / “Blood limit” – Hodo Gravica / “Protect the truth” – Rolandi / “Ask the mountains” – Son of the bey / “Late spring” – Hektor / “The innocent” – Curmas / “The knight in time” – Micoja / “Outside the door” / “The accused city” – The mayor.
His beautiful game caught the eye of the film directors of Kinostudio, who also activated him in several Albanian films “Man with the Cannon” (commissar) – 1977 / “Spring in Gjirokaster”- 1978 / “Sketerre 43” – 1980 / “City lights” – (Thomai) – 1983 / “Balkan Pazar”.

In addition to performances as an actor, he has also been in the role of director or assistant in the setting of artistic performances. He is one of the most important names who have contributed to the “Zihni Sako” Theater with a variety of skillfully interpreted roles that have remained in the memory of the Albanian public. The actor passed away on June 3, 2022
