Manushaqe Halili – Salijani
Director editing and translating foreign films!
Born in Tirana on November 30, 1933. Passionate about art and literature. After finishing her studies in Tirana, she started working in cinematography, first as an editor in the translation of foreign films (subtitles), where she worked for a long time from 1958 to 1966. Then she moved on as an editor of documentary and documentary films, becoming an editing director.
Under her direction, in addition to several feature films such as: “A difficult journey”; “The Fitter Girl” etc. as well as many newsreels, 40 documentary films were edited by her, among which we can mention: “Lumja ti moj Shqiperi” (1978); “Riza Cerova” (1978); “Mother Albania” (1979); “Shoots” (1980); “Fountain C-37” (1980); “Ali Kelmendi” (1981); “Vasil Shanto” (1981); “Great Uprising” (1982); “Painter Buza” (1983); “Our Noli” (1983); “Eternity” (1984); “Spartakiada” (1984); Margarita and Kristaqi” (`1984); “Pheasants” (1984); “Militant Writer” (1984); “New border point with Greece” (1985); “Our Export” (1986); “With livestock” (1987); “Hasan Prishtina” (1987) etc.
At the same time, she was also engaged in journalism, writing articles in various press bodies, mainly about the role of women in society, as well as writing three scripts for documentary and cartoon films such as “Hoxha Tasini”, “At the Southernmost end”. for which she also directed, as well as the script of the cartoon, “Action and Toys”; For the scenario “Women’s contribution to the visual arts” she was honored with a prize in the national literary-artistic competition.
NOTE: We do not have any information beyond the year 2015 for Mrs. Manushaqe. However, the aim of this page is not to overlook and forget any of our artists’ names as far as we have the opportunity to remember them, always based on the information gathered.
